Who am I?
I'm a problem solver, simplist, believer in practical design and holistic products. I am a conceptualizer and optimizer: I thrive turning abstract ideas into practical solutions; making and gathering ideas into relevant meaningful solutions.
What am I doing?
I live in San Francisco. I am a Freelance Design Consultant, working in Industrial Design and User Experience. I work with companies conceptualizing, modeling, and rendering innovative products that are engineered for manufacture. I also work in service design defining brand narrative, and app prototyping.
How'd I get Here?
Going into college I would have defined myself as an athlete, recruited to play lacrosse at The Ohio State University, looking for purpose. I also enjoyed culture and the human mind, so I explored classes in architecture, entrepreneurship, anthropology, psychology, and economics. Ultimately I found there was a way to incorporate all these interests, through this thing called industrial design. Who knew everything we touch has been designed? Deep design recognizes business, culture, technology, and human interaction. Products have personality, they provide utility and help define who we are. Ever since this discovery, I have been driven to all areas of design, engineering, and craftsmanship. I spent three years studying industrial design at Savannah College of Art and Design, before graduating in 2016. I then migrated west to the Bay Area with a strong purpose, seeking innovative business and creative mindsets.
Where am I going?
I relish the opportunity of making new connections and further distinguishing my understanding and skills in design technology: focused on manufacturing, materials, and human factors.
Is that it?
I have many hobbies, most involve the outdoors and exercise. I am a frequent Olympic Club attendee, competing on their lacrosse team and the golf course. I am a passionate explorer, by way of hiking, biking, fly-fishing, and snowboarding. I have exceptional parents that have provided me 3 of my best friends as siblings, and we're all in California (if not traveling)! All these things inspire the work I am lucky to do, and I'd love to hear what inspires you!
